Flamenco Dancer Doll

She is a commissioned doll I made for a friend of a friend. I only made the dress, her fan, and redid her hair...I used a Barbie doll.

Below you will see before and after pictures of her transformation.

Her fingers were also bent. This is done by emerging the dolls limbs and fingers in hot boiling water for about one minute or so, then bend the arms, wrist, or fingers holding it in place, then run it under cold water to keep it in place...when you are bending any parts of her limbs, do them one at a time.

My New Hobby Space

There's is were I've been hiding out since last winter and spring. I divided my living room in half to create this simple yet comfortable hobby space. My very close friend who is a retired carpenter has been so kind to me to build it for me. The materials bought were very reasonable at Home Depot. I helped him along the way...I did the all the painting. I already had some of my own furniture that I added in my hobby space. I so adore my own personal space.

Below you will find how I created most of my own storage containers using what I already had.

With only a few supplies such as decorative paper, glue, cut out flowers, stick on flat jewels and beads, flowers, and some ribbon I made a "blah" plain ole Lipton Ice Tea container, coffee cans, cigar boxes etc into the most eye catching pretty storage containers and boxes.

Who knew you can upscale a peanut butter jar and Mayonaise jar into a handy storage container.

I covered this can with this pretty contact paper I found hidden in a stack of other contact papers and bought the last two. I really like this contact paper and I added regular decorative paper for more contrast.

Well! What are you waiting for lets get crafting and create your unique storage containers.

I hope you you enjoyed this post, thank you for stopping by.

Clothes Pin Dolls

It took me about 6 days to make ten clothes pin dolls which includes sanding the heads, the pins, and the base.

Most of the time went on painting the entire pin with flesh colors, the features, the hair, and the shoes.

It was really simple, the only hand sewing I did was the gathering around the skirt waist the rest of the clothes are glued.

These lovely clothes pin dolls will be put in paper machet boxes that is a WIP I will cleverly make them into room boxes designed to look like a shop or sitting room or bedroom.

Polymer Clay Doll Charms

I am dabbling in polymer clay. These are the first of four that I made to begin with. I am a beginner so you'll see some rough edges as I am learning to polish my skills...IT ISN'T EASY, WHEW!

I want to get more polished as I go along. I want to make this part of my crafts also as miniature becomes more of my passion. I will also be making polymer clay food also. I hope you like it.

This is my version of Alice In Wonderland.

I'm Entering The 2013 Cloth Doll Challenge On Doll Net Market.

Lacey Rose has been submitted in the 2013 cloth doll challenge by The Doll Net Market.
This is my second time entering since 2010.
She is made from a vintage pattern that is out of print called "The Little Nurse". I found this pattern on the internet for free about two years ago.

I will post the link for voting as it becomes available. I will very much appreciate your support when it's time to vote.

I am finishing up the last felt doll pattern so you can finally have an opportunity to win a pattern of your choice.

THIS WAS THE WORK IN PROGRESS

I only used a toothpick taped to a skewer to paint the face using acrylic paint.

These other items I used to highlight the face.

I sealed the face using this sealer.

I added eyelids for eyelashes that I purchased in my local beauty supply store.

This is the pattern for the pantaloons.

I'm Still Here!

I've been really busy re-decorating my apartment and building a work space in a section of my living room.
I also took some time off to re-define my purpose for creating and re-building my spiritual faith. For those that have been following me earlier in my blog journey knows that I experience anxiety and it has been more frequent than usual. Don't worry I stay positive and I'm determined to move forward no matter what.

I deeply apologize for taking more than usual time in listing the Bunka doll pattern for the speedy giveaway that you've been looking forward to.

I am just about done with my new work space and am looking forward to sharing the new ideas I have in the making and doing more giveaways especially the freebies.

Thank you all for continuing to follow this blog and welcome to the new followers. I sincerely appreciate you and I will continue to show my gratitude with freebies and speedy giveaways.

Thank You!
