How To Make A Doll Closet From A Sugar Box Video Tutorial

To make this closet I used a Sugar In The Raw Box, 2 different contact paper, a dowel, acrylic paint, earings and jewels to create the door knobs, and cardboard scraps.

Note: I suggest using a darker color contact paper for the outside because the writing shows through with light colors

I made the hangers using wire I bought from the hardware store.

I Finally Made A Mini Free Spirit Crochet Doll

I finally made a Mini Free Spirit crochet doll...she is responsible for the inspiration of the Blossom Petal's cloth dolls I created. The credit for the crochet pattern belongs to Beth Webber. You can get the free pattern by visiting her blog www.byhookbyhand.blogspot.com. She's a wonderful, lovely, giving, inspirational, and kind woman. She is my kindred spirit. Thanks Beth.

Her name is Katie. The size of this doll measures 8 inches tall. It's suppose to measure about 7 inches or so...I don't know what happened. She still turned out cutesie anyway. I hope I make Beth proud. by the way my son named her

I gave her eyelashes made with embroidery floss. It was very exciting for me to crochet the hands and feet because I've often wondered how Beth did that...Beth. that sure was a clever and unique way to make hands and feet...I loved it!

I made the crochet clothes, shoes, hair clip, umbrella, and teacup set.

I will have the teapot crochet pattern available for making. I will be having a giveaway for the teacup set crochet pattern real soon. It's crocheted in size 10 cotton thread and the teapot has a removeble lid. So if you're interested stay tuned. I will also announce the giveaway on www.youtube.com/carolyndolls. The pattern will be in a pdf file.

I decided to paint a face. The Tutorial on making the head differ's from what I did. I used a 7mm wood bead to help me make the head.

Video Tutorial...Dollhouse/carry along case made with a pizza box

This dollhouse/carry along case was made with a store bought pizza box.

I used contact paper that only costs $1.99 per roll, hot glue gun, extra card board to make it sturdy, ribbon and buttons for closure, and rope trim for a handle...oh yeah and sissors of course. You can make this dollhouse/carry along case with any size box to fit the size of your dolls using the same technique as in the video tutorial will demonstrate.

There are walls that are created to go to the next room/dollhouse/carry along case and it will be able to fit right inside the box for storage. You will also be able to stack them on top of each other to give them the effect of a second floor

The Blossom Petal's with the new head's. These new dolls now only measure about 8 inches tall...they use to measure about 8 1/4 inches tall.

Enjoy the video tutorials!

Blossom Petals With Yarn Hair And New Surprise.

For those who have been following me, you know I prefer using hair that looks realistic. Well, I decided to give yarn hair a chance on my Blossom Petal's...I say "not bad" at all. This particular Blossom Petal has a painted flower and some leaves...she is definitely a unique Blossom.

SURPRISE! Blossom Petal's now has an undershirt body and a new head. In the near future she will also have stocking legs. Prior to the stocking idea, I had already pre-cut several Blossom's. So when I complete the pre-cut bodies, the new one's will have the stocking legs.
